Bobbie Louise Hains Gossen Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday, March 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. for Bobbie Louise Hains Gossen, 87 who died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at her residence in Rayne. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA. Surviving are two daughters, Charmaine G. Jumonville of Rayne, Denise G. Smith of Rayne, one son, Robert William Gossen of Lafayette, two grandsons, Carl Jiles Matte, II of Basile, Damian Lynn Smith of Lafayette, two great grandsons, Hunter Matte, Blake Matte, one great granddaughter, Allison Matte, one sister, Claire Comeaux of Harahan, one sister-in-law, Marian Simpson Hains of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph Gossen, one son, David Lynn Gossen, parents, Robert Hains and Orta Besse Hains, one sister, Wilma Smith, one brother, Price Hains. She was born Tuesday, January 22, 1924 in Rayne, LA, daughter of the late Robert Hains and the late Orta Besse Hains. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Soriety in Rayne and also St. Joseph Catholic Church Good Samaritan Club. Mrs. Gossen was an airline stewardess for Pan America Airline and then went to college to get her teaching degree at SLI (UL of Lafayette) and taught for Acadia Parish School Board for 25 years. A rosary will be recited Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home. Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Sunday, March 27, 2001 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, March 28, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.. Pallbearers will be Damian Lynn Smith, Robert W. Gossen, Herrin Ducote, Paul Olivier, Robert Kahn and Jimmy Fontenot. Mrs. Gossen family would like to extend their gratitude to all of Hospice of Acadiana for their utmost care and a very special thanks to Patti Guidry who was a very special nurse and spiritual advocate.
